Team Manager - Children's Social Care
To achieve our vision of a brighter future for our Children's Services, we are embarking on a campaign to recruit a significant number of Children's Social Workers and Managers. We are investing an additional GBP4.8 million in Children's Social Care to pay for enhanced payments, the development of an exciting training offer and increased access to Team Management and administrative support. We are in the early stages of an exciting and transformative improvement journey following our recent disappointing Ofsted inspection, with a plan to get to "Good" within two years.
Through our service redesign, we have established smaller teams with reduced caseloads. You will be responsible for managing a team of up to 6 Social Workers and an Advanced Social Work Practitioner. Nearly all teams will have a dedicated Business Support Officer. We have introduced revised leadership and management training, invested in IT and place a strong emphasis on reflective supervision.

Benefits and Allowances
We pay GBP44,496 to GBP47,292 per annum basic salary with an additional recruitment and retention allowance of GBP4,779 per annum (payable in monthly instalments) and a Travel Allowance of GBP1,548 (payable in monthly instalments).
