Salary range: GBP35,070 - GBP41,718 p.a.

Southwark Council is a large, complex and evolving organisation with over 5,000 staff. As part of the Council's continuing development, Exchequer Services Division was created in October 2015. Part of the rationale for this was to bring together income & debt functions and to create a single assessment & transactional service area.
The Service consists of a number of sections, Income Operations being one of the main operational delivery units. The role of the Senior Revenues Enforcement Officer is to support senior management in shaping the enforcement services.
A significant part of the role will be to act as an Exchequer services certificated Enforcement Agent in the Taking Control of Goods in respect of debts owed to the Council and levy and enforce collection of statutory fees.
The role is specialist and you are required to hold the Taking Control of Goods qualification Level II and be certificated to operate as an Enforcement Agent by the court.
You will formally report to an Operations Manager (Income) and will be responsible for managing a team of Revenues Support Officers providing support to the enforcement service.
You will have responsibility for specialist enforcement and providing advice and training to all Revenues Officers, trainees and apprentices on enforcement through the Taking Control of Goods regulations.
