GBP43,530 - GBP45,438 per annum (PO5)
Work Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Hackney is London's most diverse, dynamic borough. Reaching from the Square Mile to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, this is an area of rapid economic growth, particularly in technology, media, fashion and other creative industries. Hackney has more green spaces than any other inner London borough; some of the capital's finest schools; first class transport connections; excellent public services; and thriving arts, cultural and retail sectors. We seek people with ambition, creativity and commitment to ensure our economic growth provides benefits for everyone and creates opportunities to transform the lives of residents.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, creative and hardworking individual to join us and play a key role in supporting our place making aspirations - helping us deliver our vision of 'hackney, a place for everyone'. As Infrastructure and Economic Regeneration Project Manager you will be responsible ensuring the strategic planning and delivery of social, economic and physical infrastructure to meet the needs of our residents and businesses now and in the future.
This critical role is as much about delivering socio-economic outcomes as it is about physical regeneration. Working within both the Planning and Economic Regeneration Service, a key area of focus will be to build strategic partnerships with service providers, businesses and affordable workspace providers. You will lead on the production and implementation of the Council's Infrastructure Delivery Plan to inform our new Local Plan 2033, oversee the spend of S106 and CIL, and assist Economic Regeneration colleagues in developing and managing our innovative Affordable Workspace Providers list. You will contribute to wider strategic priorities through the development of strategic planning policy and through close alignment with, and to, the Council's Economic and Community Development framework and other corporate boards.
You will have an excellent understanding of sources of funding available to fund services and infrastructure, with a background in strategic planning, regeneration and economic development. You will be a member of, or eligible for membership to the Royal Town Planning Institute. Most important is a genuine can-do attitude; a commitment to delivery and team working; and the ability to inspire confidence in stakeholders, elected members and citizens.
At Hackney, we go that extra mile for our people; we offer a work environment which is stimulating, fast moving and supportive, giving you the chance to use your skills and develop new ones within a high profile organisation. If you share our values and are ready to be part of our exciting journey please apply now!
