This is a role which provides an exciting opportunity to work with Adult and Children's Social Care services taking overall responsibility for the Council's electronic social care system. Here at Reading we currently use Servelec Corelogic's MOSAiC system.

We are looking for someone with significant experience of social care within the public sector who has led or is leading the management and development of social care systems.

Key aspects of the role are to:

  • Plan, lead and implement the programme of change needed for the next 12 months and beyond to ensure the system meets the ongoing business requirements of Adult and Children's Social Care services.
  • Manage the systems alignment to the data and performance reporting infrastructure, Council's finance system, and the strategic vision of the services.
  • Manage the contract and supplier relationship for the social care system on a day-to-day basis.
  • Manage the team who will support the programme of change and effective use of social care systems.

You will have the responsibility of a team who will support the programme of change. We are looking for experience of leading, managing and motivating teams of staff to deliver high-quality and effective services.

The post will be part of our Corporate Improvement Team that provides IT and digital services, project management and analysis, and customer relations services to support service delivery and improvement across the Council.
