Lambeth is an exciting place to work with lots of transition happening. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to manage an Occupational Therapist service within Adult Social Care Services, then Lambeth is the place to be!
Lambeth is a diverse and vibrant London borough with a population of around 328,000. Lambeth's communities include Waterloo in the north which is an area that has a world class arts and entertainment centre on the South Bank and a buzzing nightlife scene at Vauxhall. In the heart of Lambeth is Brixton that is vibrant with multicultural communities, bustling markets and the creative energies of its residents. And to the south of Lambeth, there is Streatham's bustling High Road and a wealth of open spaces.
As a Team Manager for Occupational Therapist Service you will be at the forefront of the service, meeting the challenges in ensuring delivery of high quality occupational therapy service to our local residents. You will support social workers and Assessor colleagues as they carry out the role of Trusted Assessor.
In order to maximise resources and achieve customer focused outcomes, you will need to have excellent communication and planning skills and be committed to partnership working across statutory and third sector organisations. This will include monitoring and evaluating the work of our equipment and minor adaptation contractors and managing the allocation of these resources across Health and Social care.
There are varied responsibilities within the role including management of the OTs in the Home Improvement Agency, the Rehabilitation Officers for Visual Impairment and The Technology Enabled Care Service.
Having a commitment to service development and the promotion of good practice at all times is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an OT manager to develop their management and leadership skills and broaden their experience.
