
Senior Accountant – Financial Control and Systems
£45,475 - £51,672 per annum
(subject to relevant skills and experience)

Hertsmere is an enterprising Council, striving for innovative ways to generate income. We are looking for an experienced Finance professional to bring innovation and commercial flair to the team and embrace the Council’s strategic agenda.
As a financially well-managed and forward-looking organisation, we are seeking an individual with a similar commercial approach to Finance who will successfully manage, deliver effective service improvements and tackle challenges in an innovative way.
You will report to and support the Financial Services Manager in their capacity as Hertsmere’s Deputy Section 151 Officer and will be responsible for the Financial Information Systems ensuring that integrity and adequate controls are maintained at all times.
You will be responsible for the efficient and effective operational management, service delivery and quality provision of the council’s accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll teams and will manage the council’s debt management operation.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
