Project Manager - Remote Working
The starting salary for this position is £45,734 per annum, working 36 hours per week.
Your nominal base will be Fairmount House in Leatherhead but staff in the Project Team operate an 'Agile' working system - this means that you can work from a number of different locations, including from home, as determined by the requirements of your project.
This position will offer you the opportunity to have significant influence upon large-scale projects that shape the strategic direction of the Adults Social Care Directorate.
You will manage the development of strategies, projects and service development activities to ensure the Directorate is well positioned to adapt service provision to future needs. You will provide high quality needs analysis, be able to identify and assess options and provide evidence-based policy advice. You will work collaboratively with senior officers across the Directorate, other areas of the Council and with partners locally, regionally and nationally. You will ensure the Directorate's decisions are supported by robust implementation and change management plans.
The role requires strong analytical skills, an ability to see the big picture, and the ability to deal with ambiguity. You will have good communication, engagement and organisation skills and experience of working in a project and/or policy development environment, with a strong track record of managing complexity and delivering successful outcomes. You will have a good understanding of the national social care policy agenda, where the focus is upon personalisation and collaboration.
The team operates in a matrix style where you will be leading and working in a small team and undertaking a number of projects. Your responsibilities will also include staff development and management.
