Practice Manager, Placement Support for Looked after Children and Care

Our well-established and highly-successful fostering service is looking for a new Practice Manager for our Placement Support team to coordinate supportive accommodation for our looked after children and care leavers.

You will be working with a pro-active and experienced staff group who will welcome your commitment and vision to develop and build on our excellent reputation. The role offers an opportunity to forge and develop new partnerships with our commissioned housing partners.

This is an exciting and challenging position working in close collaboration with the other practice managers in our high performing a fostering and integrated looked after children's services. We have high aspirations for our children in our care and we want to deliver an ambitious and creative service to create placement stability for our children and young people.

We are looking for highly-motivated social work professionals who understand how to improve outcomes for families and children and have a proven track record in statutory children services. The successful candidate may be a Senior Social Worker ready to take their first step into management or an experienced manager who will have strong management and leadership skills to provide excellent services that improve outcomes for our children and young people.

Your practice must be informed by current legislation and relevant guidance and you must be up to date on current theories and research. You will receive individualised support through a range of training and development opportunities to enable you to succeed in this role and to develop your career.
