Ambitious, Effective and Proud to Serve
Born out of local government reorganisation in 1996, the borough of Stockton-on-Tees has over the last 23 years grown and flourished through an exciting period of regeneration.
Here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council we are proud to be a part of that story. We have always had huge ambition for the area and a commitment to see these ambitions become a reality. We have been proud to work with the great people of this borough to bring about huge changes over the last two decades.
As an organisation we pride ourselves on being open, honest and fair. On leading by example. On having big plans and the determination to see them through. On delivering genuine value for money. On setting the highest standards of public service. On communicating clearly and regularly with the community we serve. On being challenging, innovative and well organised.
And it doesn’t stop here – we remain as ambitious as ever and want to see a borough that is more confident, more vibrant and more successful than ever before and for this to continue to be a place where people can see that our drive, our integrity and our imagination have delivered genuine improvement and exceptional value for money.
We are looking for a visionary and innovative individual to replace our retiring Chief Executive who has been successful in leading the Council over the last 11 years. The Council will need to continue to change, improve and develop to provide the highest quality services, to deliver our clear vision for the future and ambitious aspirations for the Borough. This is a great opportunity to lead a strong organisation and shape it for the future.
