Salary range: £33,291 - £35,724 p.a. inc.

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post

The Leasehold Consultation Officer you will deliver the statutory consultative programme for leasehold major works and service charges, including responding to observations and associated correspondence from residents.

Together with Leasehold Finance Officers, you will support the production of corresponding service charges and estimates and all the associated enquiries and disputes.

The Person

We are looking for exceptional person who has a proven track record in managing consultation programmes, be passionate about customer service, possess a positive attitude and be able to develop a great relationship with our customers.

You should be able demonstrate knowledge of preparing for and presenting evidence at a First Tier Tribunal also known as an Property chamber and County court. You should also be confident in demonstrating knowledge of the Section 20 processes.

You must have an understanding of housing and service changes legislation and legal processes which govern the resolution of disputes. You leasehold and property service knowledge will make you an excellent candidate. A natural problem solver, you'll find innovate and cost effective ways to improve services to our customers.

Note to candidates:

The successful candidate will be travelling between sites to attend meeting and other activities outside of normal working hours.

Key points for Candidates:

  • You must have the ability to interpret and explain to a range of audiences. This may be about relevant legislations and complex legal documents such as leases.
  • You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work as a team towards common goals.
  • You must have the ability to work "on the go" using mobile technology.
  • The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated with the ability to plan work effectively without being supervised.
