About the roles
The Council is bringing forward an ambitious and innovative growth programme, delivered through a new Local Plan. As a result, we are looking to expand our Infrastructure and Delivery team to help ensure this growth is in the right location and supported by the right infrastructure.
The successful candidates will have the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively to ensure the successful delivery of our growth commitments. Key tasks will include maintaining an up-to-date Infrastructure Delivery Plan, helping shape spend priorities for over £9 million already collected through our Community Infrastructure Levy and ensuring other developer contributions are correctly collected, monitored and spent.
The posts are offered on a full time (36 hours per week) two year fixed term basis, with the potential to extend. (Part time hours would also be considered).
Benefits include 26-31 days annual leave (depending on the length of Local Government Service), local government pension scheme, flexible working hours, free car parking, free use of leisure facilities, cycle scheme, season ticket loans and payment of professional fees.
We are happy to receive applications from anyone who is already working within a planning environment, or has experience in a related area such as the development industry or surveying. You don't need to be a qualified planner! All we ask is that you are educated to degree level or equivalent, have a willingness to learn and want to play an important role in a small, friendly team.
