Assistant Team Manager CYPDT North and East
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an assistant team manager for our children and young people disability team (CYPDT) based in our Chippenham offices, covering the north and east of the county.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled and knowledgeable practitioner, who has a passion and vision for the delivery of an excellent person-centred and outcome focused service for our disabled children and young people and their families in Wiltshire.
About the role
You will be required to support the team manager in maintaining the daily operations in the delivery of high-quality services to disabled children, young people and their families. The team comprises of social workers and occupational therapists, and we are a team who actively provides placements for student social workers & OTs. You will demonstrate your leadership skills by delivering effective supervision and supporting workers with their professional development, including supporting ASYE/newly qualified social workers.
You will be able to demonstrate sound decision-making skills and chair strategy, or complex meetings as required. You will also be required to cover in the absence team manager.

You will have a recognised social work qualification and be registered with the HCPC. You will have significant post qualifying experience preferably with experience of working with disabled children and young people, or able to demonstrate transferable skills.
You will have sound knowledge and experience of the legal framework and guidance in relation to working with children is a statutory setting and knowledge of the SEND code of practice and the Care Act 2014.
