The North East Combined Authority is seeking an exceptional individual who shares our deep-rooted commitment to the North East, to shape and deliver a bold, region-wide approach to skills strategy and delivery. In this high-impact role, you'll work closely with the Mayor, Cabinet, and senior leadership to drive innovation, build partnerships, and deliver real outcomes for people, businesses, and communities.

You'll lead the development and implementation of our strategic skills agenda that reflects the needs of our key sectors, supports inclusive economic growth, and ensures our workforce is equipped for today and the future. Working with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, your role is to lead the development and implementation of policy and strategy and substantial programmes of funding for skills ensuring that the needs of business and individuals across the region are reflected and continuously reviewed to support opportunity for growth.

We are looking for a senior leader with a proven track record in partnership and collaborative working, as well as a detailed understanding and knowledge of skills at all levels to respond to the challenges faced across the region. You will be highly motivated, innovative and creative thinker, with the ability to meet and embrace changing circumstances and demands.
