About the Role

Are you a motivated and highly skilled professional with a wealth of Adult Social Care knowledge? Can you lead and drive teams forward to ensure robust services are delivered to people with disabilities?

Here at Surrey County Council we have embarked on a significant improvement journey that aims to deliver better services for vulnerable adults in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and drive change through developing new ways of working that can really help change people's lives.

The role will involve you leading, developing and managing the Disability and Transition Teams that provide a range of adult social care services ensuring that our interventions are person centred, promote independence and improve outcomes for individuals.

Working closely with partners to deliver more independent living schemes across Surrey you will be moving away from traditional forms of care whilst leading on our vision for a more tailored support service that provides people the opportunity to enjoy a home of their own.

An essential part of the role will include developing a successful model that will raise the bar for professionals' expectations and aspirations when planning for or supporting people who are living with a disability.

This permanent position will report into Simon White, the Executive Director for Adult Social Care.

If you feel you would bring the right knowledge, skills and importantly hold the right values and behaviours we want to hear from you.
