Assistant Director - Commissioning Quality & Outcomes
Northamptonshire Adult Social Services (NASS) and Public Health Northamptonshire are entering an exciting period of opportunity and change. We are collectively seeking to integrate our two commissioning functions to improve the care we commission and provide and ultimately, improve the health and care outcomes for local residents.
We have begun an ambitious and exciting journey towards creating two new Unitary Authorities and moving towards integrated working between NASS, Public Health and wider public sector partners to deliver a step change across the county. We are developing our provider market to work with us to create a greater focus on supporting independence and improved outcomes. We now require the experience, skill and senior capacity to help us drive the required changes and pace to achieve these goals.
We need an inspirational senior leader with significant experience of strategic, operational management and service delivery in Local Government or Health Services with the ability and determination to create a shared purpose towards improving the health and social care services for the people of Northamptonshire.
Do you have the ability to deliver high quality services which are needs, evidenced and strengths based and commissioned within budget? Do you thrive on creating strong collaborative partnerships and joint effective working with a focus on outcome and quality? Do you have a strong background of working at a senior level in a political environment with the ability in understanding and responding to different perspectives and taking a cross-organisational perspective?
You will be part of the senior management team of the NASS and Public Health Commissioning Services and will lead and be accountable for commissioning and oversight of approximately £180 million of care and support services across the various specialisms, markets and care providers.
This a key strategic role for our future plans and the Health and Social Care integration agenda nationally and locally. You will ensure that the Commissioning Strategy is translated into the relevant Commissioning Plans and Market Analysis for each service area and that quality, outcomes and improvement are at the heart of future contracting.
In partnership with all key stakeholders, you will have a clear vision for our journey in providing clear leadership and accountability for strategic commissioning overview, clarity and direction, contractual and quality assurance, clear and articulate fee delivery frameworks across all sectors, partnership development and joint working.
As Assistant Director, you will deputise for the Director of Adults Social Services (DASS) as appropriate and represent Social Care with credibility and integrity and be a core member of the Directorate Senior Leadership Team.
