
Assistant Day Services Manager Disabilities (The Rhyd)
About the role:
You will have day to day responsibility for designated day services for people with learning disabilities and ensuring they meet the service users needs.
You will manage and supervise a team of Support Workers & oversee their training and development.
About you:
The right person will;
- Have previous experience of working with people with learning disabilities.
- Have a good understanding of the current issues and general trends in delivering learning disabilities services.
- Be motivated in order to support and lead a team.
- Understand the importance of the a service led by the needs of the users.
- Good communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
What you will do:
- You will manage a team of support worker, ensuring the correct level of support is provided and regular supervisions being undertaken.
- Ensure that reports and documentation are up to date and accurate.
- Ensure prescribed medication is administered.
- Work alongside the Day Activities Manager and other organisations to review service plans, audit procedure, and to report any issues or concerns.
