Assistant Chief Fire Officer - Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a strategic leader to support the Chief Fire Officer and advise the Fire Authority. The role focuses on enhancing performance and delivering an outstanding service that meets local needs while responding to changing social, political, economic and technological contexts.

The successful candidate will possess a degree or post-graduate diploma in a relevant discipline, Incident Command Level 4 qualification (or equivalent), and demonstrated experience in strategic leadership. Key skills include:

• Emotional intelligence and inclusive communication
• Strategic thinking and change management
• Political acumen and persuasive influence

They will be expected to provide strategic cover on the Principal Officer rota, contribute to equality, inclusion and core values, and operate from within the county (relocation support available).

Salary: £126,103 rising to £140,114 plus benefits and a company car.
Contract: Full Time
