About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Governance Officer on a permanent basis to join the Governance Department. This role will report to the Head of Governance.

Purpose and Main Duties

As Governance Officer, you will play a key part in the HCPC's governance framework. You will work closely with the Head of Governance to ensure the smooth running of the HCPC's decision-making groups.

You will manage a number of Committees and Groups as Committee Secretary as well as supporting the wider work of the Governance Team which is responsible for Information Governance, Compliance and Risk Management. You will gain in depth organisational knowledge and a front row seat to how decisions are made.

Candidate Requirements

You will have substantial experience in having serviced boards and committees, with a good understand of governance practice within the public sector. You will also have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to influence and build effective internal and external stakeholder relationships
