PO6: Starting salary GBP46,293 pa rising in annual increments to GBP49,203 pa incl. LW, plus GBP1920 annual AMHP payment (under review)

Mental health services in Lambeth continue to transform. Lambeth is one of the first areas in the country to have developed and implemented alliance working and the work continues with the development of the Living Well Network Alliance. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our AMHP team in the new Living Well Network Alliance model for mental health.

The Alliance is a partnership between South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM), Certitude, Thames Reach, Lambeth Council and Lambeth NHS Clinical Commissioning Group. The Living Well Network Alliance will be responsible for transforming the way that working age adult mental health services are delivered in Lambeth to realise the vision that "Every citizen, whatever their abilities or disabilities, can flourish, contribute to society and lead the life they want to lead."

You will be working with key leads across the Alliance to deliver and transform mental health services within Lambeth providing leadership and guidance on the delivery of adult social care duties ensuring that services and practice are of a high standard. The role will play a crucial part in the development of the Crisis Pathway including future extended hours offers and alternatives to hospital admission

We are seeking a Team Manager committed to actively supporting independence and least restrictive alternatives for adults with mental health needs who are being assessed under the Mental Health Act 1983 as amended 2007. You will:

  • Manage a team of Approved Mental Health Professionals
  • Have overall responsibility for the operation of the AMHP service
  • Be an experienced manager in Mental Health community services
  • Have excellent organisational and relationship skills

You will join a supportive and strong leadership team within the Lambeth Alliance and will work closely with the senior management team in ensuring that Lambeth Adult Social care delivers excellent, high quality services and practice.
