Head of Service, Children's Review & Development

- The Head of Service - Children's Review and Development will be required to develop a framework of appropriate continuous professional development opportunities which ensures that the range of specialist practitioners across the broader children's system can access opportunities in order that they can meet their professional standards as required by the range of professional registering bodies.
- To take the lead Principal Social Worker function and support the development of assessment practice and decision-making skills and quality assure the practice methodology that underpins this.
- Alongside this it is expected that this role will provide an effective and efficient service which commissions and delivers appropriate staff training, learning and continuous development pathways for the integrated Children's Workforce across Staffordshire with its partner agencies.
- The post holder will also have strategic operational oversight of the Independent Conference Chairs service. This post will actively lead and engage the service to gain the quality of the multi-agency response to children at risk across the system. This knowledge and information will then be disseminated across the broader system to influence key decision making and system wide developments.
