Folkestone & Hythe is a dynamic and innovative place to live, work and visit. Situated on Kent's South East coast, the district is both rural and coastal in character and very well connected - London is just under an hour away via the High Speed rail link in Folkestone and we have unrivalled access to mainland Europe via the Channel Tunnel. Much change is happening in the district, including rapid expansion in the number of homes and jobs - our new Garden Town will deliver up to 10,000 new homes and land for business use over the next 30 years.

With increased pressures and reduced budgets, Folkestone & Hythe District Council has embraced new ways of working, and continues to work with residents and partners to help improve service delivery, efficiency and resilience. Change has already begun and we have a clear vision and operating model that will revolutionise the way people access their services, empowering them to take a greater role in improving their lives and their district.

To support us in the delivery of our transformation ambition we are now seeking an exceptional individual to shape transformation and help drive forward and deliver effective service redesign, embracing the opportunities provided by digital technology and a more agile, resilient, flexible workforce.

Supporting the Assistant Director of Strategy, Performance and Communications, the Transformation Project Manager will play a lead role in delivering fast-paced change within an ambitious corporate transformation and ICT implementation programme, ensuring progress is maintained and communicated with stakeholders, including the Transformation Executive Board, staff and members.

The post-holders will be accountable for supporting a range of staff and liaising with our change consultancy, iESE, working on diverse projects including service redesign, outcomes based accountability, the centralisation of a case management function and digital initiatives. You will be focused on the delivery of high quality, value for money services that drive forward a culture of continuous and ambitious improvements, maintaining a core focus on improving the quality of life for those living and working in the district.

The successful candidate will be innovative, organised and dependable, with a project management qualification. Exceptional resource planning, co-ordination and stakeholder relationship building skills are essential.
