Deputy Team Manager (Social Worker)
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Social Worker to join Southwark's Care and Support Team within the Mental Health Adult Social Care Division as a Deputy Manager.
The team works with adults with mental health problems to meet their social care needs, promote their independence, help them achieve their goals and outcomes in order to improve their well-being. We are a multi disciplinary team, made up of social workers, occupational therapists and assistants practitioners.
You will work closely with and assist the team manager in providing leadership for the complex case management section of the Cast team. You will supervise and guide social workers who undertaking direct work with adults with complex needs, using a variety of approaches. You will assist them to work creatively with clients, some of whom may be hard to engage.
You will oversee the social workers as they undertake social care assessments/reviews, under the Care Act 2014 and s117 Mental Health Act, completing strengths based support plans in order to maximise an adults well-being in independence.
You will also undertake and manage person centred safeguarding investigations and fully utilise multi agency working to ensure the best outcomes for the client.
You will hold a small caseload to continue to develop your practice, and act as a role model and expert practitioner within the team. You will be approved mental health professional or willing to train as an approved mental health professional.
