Adoption Service Manager - One Adoption North and Humber (Managing North Yorkshire and York, employed by North Yorkshire)
Location: you will be working across York and North Yorkshire however we can be flexible with your work base and this can be negotiated with the successful candidate
Salary: GBP42,683 to GBP46,503, subject to pay award agreement

One Adoption North and Humber is a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) providing adoption services for five local authorities: North Yorkshire, York, East Riding, Hull and North East Lincolnshire delivering services to children and adopters across the region and hosted by York. The Adoption Agency core services include the recruitment and assessment of adopters, family finding for children and adoption support. We are extremely motivated and forward thinking agency, with a mission to ensure that all those involved in adoption receive an excellent service. We are now seeking a Service Manager to join our skilled and friendly team at One Adoption, to help us continue to offer an excellent provision.
Joining us as Service Manager, you will be responsible for delivering services to children and families teams and adoption across North Yorkshire and York, ensuring children who require permanence through adoption receive excellent, timely planning.
You will be expected to offer strategic planning within the RAA as well as have oversight and management of the team across both LAs reporting to the Head of Child Placement and Head of Service for the RAA. The teams are based within several localities across the area and there will be a need for flexibility and travel however, this post will also allow flexible working from home or other offices, depending on the demands of the service. Managing across two local authorities and within the overall RAA creates a varied and challenging role. We are seeking an exceptional, motivated and experienced manager who will work alongside other Service Managers within the region to plan and deliver operational development of this pioneering adoption agency, nurturing and developing best practice.
It is essential to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with partners across services. You will be a motivator with significant, relevant expertise and well-developed budgetary skills. The role will require high levels of IT skills, managing two computer systems between North Yorkshire and York, the need to manage and analyse data to ensure performance and demands of the service are met and children are placed within a timely manner.
