Hackney Council is looking for someone with excellent customer service skills. As Resident Sustainment Manager you will be part of our housing team working directly with residents. You will help fulfil our vision of creating neighbourhoods where residents get on with one another, are proud of their homes and feel listened to by their landlord.
Housing is a top priority in Hackney. Inner London is experiencing intense pressure on housing stock with competing demands on space, a growing population and rising prices. Hackney Council manages over 30,000 properties across the borough. Our Housing team work hard to create safe, affordable homes for people who need them.
This is an exciting opportunity to build on the successful pilot of this new service. You will be leading a team working with residents who we have identified as being at risk of tenancy failure. Working with them, you will agree and implement interventions to help keep them in their home and improve their wellbeing. You will also be key in transforming our Financial Inclusion Team into a more holistic money advice service, so you will have extensive skills in this area, including great welfare benefits knowledge. You will understand the Financial Conduct Authority requirement and regulation in this area. You'll be working with some of our most vulnerable customers. Although highly rewarding, the role will not be without challenges. You will need good communications and influencing skills to liaise directly with residents, partners and others. You will be dealing with some sensitive issues and should be able to prioritise a varied caseload.

We need someone who appreciates the responsibilities of registered social landlords. You should have experience in a similar role, with an understanding of relevant legislation and benefits. You will be working in an agile context and must embrace working from a variety of locations across Hackney.
