Job Type

We think Lincolnshire is a very special place to work, visit, live and invest. It is steeped in history and brimming with life, with vibrant coastal tourism, the Lincolnshire Worlds area of outstanding natural beauty, historic market towns, and the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln.

Our Highways infrastructure is extremely important as it supports the local economy, provides access to jobs, services and enables thousands of visitors to experience our beautiful coast and countryside. We are a 'Band 3 Authority' and have a buoyant workload with a number of major schemes planned including the Lincoln Eastern Bypass that is under construction.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic Local Highways Manager who has the skills, experience and highway engineering knowledge to ensure that our standards are maintained and that our residents, businesses and visitors can continue to use the highways safely with the minimum of disruption.

This is a key leadership role in supporting Highway Network Management through developing and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with Local Communities, Elected Members and Partners across service areas. So if you are someone who enjoys making a difference and in particular likes working with stakeholders to deliver an excellent highways service, then we would like to hear from you.

Our employment package is excellent and benefits include:

  • Basic 37 hours working week
  • Excellent Pension Scheme
  • Generous annual leave + paid bank holidays
  • Childcare Voucher Scheme
  • Family Friendly Policies
  • Training and Development Opportunities
  • Re-location expenses

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Satish Shah, Highway Network Manager on 555736.
