Strategic Human Resources + Organisational Development Manager
Swansea Council is three years into its corporate transformation programme "Sustainable Swansea - Fit for the Future". Significant changes have already been implemented which have subsequently released GBP60m of savings since 2015. We are now looking for someone to lead and drive the council's workforce strategies to ensure we have the right people, in the right place, with the right skills and support workforce sustainability. The successful candidate will further develop and lead the council's organisation development (OD) strategy and plan, as well as being the main strategic advisor for all HR and OD matters.
The role leads on service delivery as well as key strategic workforce projects, enabling all employees to engage and contribute to the development of the council.
You will be a Chartered Member/Fellow of the CIPD and have effective knowledge and application of employment legislation and current HR + OD practice, particularly those applying to local government.
