The Nursing and Midwifery Council regulates nurses and midwives in the four UK countries setting standards of education, training, conduct and performance so that nurses and midwives can deliver high quality healthcare.
Our strategy for the next five years sets out how we will develop our work to protect patients and the public effectively and efficiently. It places dynamic regulation at the centre of what we do and sets out how we will become a modern and intelligence-led organisation.
About the Role
Responsible for our corporate services, you will work closely with the Chief Executive and Registrar and NMC Chair to lead the management of our resources directorate, and support our Corporate Strategy 2015 - 2020.
As the director, you will have executive accountability for our Finance, Procurement, Estates, Corporate Performance and Risk, Technology and Digital Services departments. The successful candidate will be required to design and lead on our IT, Accommodation and Finance Strategies.
This is an exciting time to join the NMC in a challenging but rewarding role, providing a fantastic opportunity to join our executive in supporting our journey to becoming an effective and dynamic regulator.
You will need substantial experience of working at an executive level in a high-profile and politically complex environment. Whilst your experience does not need to have been from the healthcare sector, you will need to be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the internal and external challenges in which the NMC operates.
