Hackney Council is looking for someone highly organised to support our Streetscene work. You will be managing information to ensure our roads and traffic infrastructure supports the people who live, work and visit Hackney. Your role will help make Hackney safer, cleaner and greener.

As Senior Technical Support Officer (Streetscene), you will be responsible for processing, monitoring and reporting data on defects, finances and the other key information that our team work with.

Day to day you will be dealing with a lot of administrative tasks like purchasing, information management and logging complaints. You will use the data you compile to create reports that help us improve the way we do things. You will be supporting any audits of our work, helping us to comply with statutory requirements and meet our targets. You will also support other initiatives like road safety and sustainable transport.

You should be someone who loves to innovate. Someone who is keen to put in place new systems to improve performance - who brings a creative approach to our service. You should be familiar with the issues we face within the public sector, ideally with an understanding of the technical side to our work.

You will be managing a team of up to six. You will need to help prioritise their workloads and keep your team motivated. You should be keen to instil a customer focussed culture and manage performance. You will need to use a variety of software packages, be able to collate statistics and write clearly.
