Our purpose is to protect the public by regulating dental professionals in the UK. All dentists, dental nurses, dental technicians, clinical dental technicians, dental hygienists, dental therapists and orthodontic therapists must be registered with us to work in the UK. The support and experience of our dedicated and highly focused teams is invaluable. This is your chance to build on your own skills and experience and make a worthwhile contribution to our work.
About the role:
This role is a largely externally facing role that will be looking at the current legislative framework and how this can be developed. You will be developing work around organisational sustainability such as development of the GDC's organisational strategy and corporate planning process.
You will be developing partnerships and networks with other organisations within the regulatory sphere so that relationships are built with key stakeholders (i.e. CQC and the NHS). You will be somebody who is skilled in building partnerships and working with other organisations to make things happen with tangible results. You will be able to work collaboratively with the Head of Communications & Engagement in organisation scanning and thinking about the regulatory impact. You will be adept at assessing what the impact of what something is, how it impacts the GDC as an organisation and how that means that we need to change the way in which we act.
The GDC is committed to equality and diversity. We encourage and support the recruitment, retention and career development of people from as wide a range as possible of ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds.
To reward you for your hard work and commitment, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes a generous pension scheme, 25 days' annual leave (not inclusive of bank holidays).
