Joint Committee Programme Management Officer - EE06717

G10 GBP35,093 - GBP39,660 per annum

Fixed Term Maternity Cover for 12 months

The post holder will join a dynamic team, and provide maternity cover by helping to lead on the delivery of the Accountable Body role for the Black Countries Local Growth Fund, valued at over GBP200million. This will include leading on the drafting of detailed Grant Agreements and the delivery of effective governance and contracting functions within a busy multi-programme environment. You will receive on-going training and support from a small core team as you help to promote good relationships, best practice and decision making across the Council and its partners.

The post-holder will play a lead role in promoting excellent governance and coordinating contracting processes on behalf of the Black Country Joint Committee, together with the ongoing maintenance of effective working relationships with a wide range of external partners including the private and Further Education sectors.

The post holder will need a strong track record in public sector contracting and governance activity, including work on national funding streams. You will need experience in the creation of contracting processes and oversight of governance systems and their application, the ability to manage a demanding workload and complex relationships.
