Rother District Council CIL/Section 106 Officer Strategy and Planning Service Part time - 21 hours per week Up to GBP32,595 pro rata per annum Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within our planning team for a CIL/Section 106 Officer who will be critical to the success of the ongoing management of the Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 developer contributions. The post includes monitoring of the financial and non-financial developer contributions arising from CIL/S106 agreements including the issuing of liability, demand and discharge notices. There will also be a strong emphasis on negotiation and communication with outside bodies and supporting the Development Management team with the levying of CIL. Therefore an understanding of how both the CIL and Section 106 developer contributions system operates would be essential for this role. The Ideal Candidate will be an enthusiastic team player but will also be able to work independently. They will have an understanding of current planning policies, legislation and procedures. You will also possess strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail with the ability to deal with complex information and written reports in order to meet corporate targets and objectives.
