Nottingham City Council has an exciting opportunity in the Facilities Management and Building Services Team for a Technical Officer (Fire Compliance).

We occupy and operate within a wide ranging and varied portfolio of properties across the City to enable a variety of services to be delivered to our citizens, users and visitors to Nottingham.

You will play a key role in ensuring the effective provision of Fire Safety Systems Maintenance, Inspection and monitoring service to protect all employees, clients, and customers using council or client properties. Part of this role will involve the undertaking of Fire Risk Assessments across the council's varied asset portfolio, from operational depots to high profile civic buildings and liaising with key members of the organisation in the delivery of action plans to address any areas of risk.

The Technical Officer is a unique and critical role within the organisation and seeks to deliver a consistent, high quality customer focussed service in an efficient, effective and economic manner.

You will have a BTEC, HNC/HND in building, mechanical or electrical services engineering or equivalent and full working knowledge of fire safety systems and relevant legislative requirements. With substantial experience of either a mechanical, building or electrical services organisation, you will have full working knowledge of building construction, and building maintenance work.
