Join us to Boost Belfast's Success Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications (circa GBP70k) The Belfast Agenda is Belfast's first community plan. It is a forward-thinking and inclusive vision for the future with a set of ambitious goals that will build prosperity and create a better quality of life for all in the City. The delivery of this hugely ambitious plan requires innovation, cohesion and operational focus. To achieve this, we are creating a Strategic Hub, central to our operating structure, which will enable the whole organisation to work more effectively. This senior appointment is integral to the effectiveness of the Strategic Hub and the successful delivery of the Belfast Agenda. Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications Ref: 17036 The Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications is pivotal in leveraging the significant local and global profile of the City, as the implementation of the Belfast Agenda gathers momentum. You will support the Council in its City leadership role to develop and implement a contemporary and compelling place positioning framework; a city narrative, brand identity and competitive strategy for Belfast; and provide creative and inspiring strategic direction to the talented, multi-disciplinary team that you will lead. You will have a track record in the development and delivery of strategic campaigns that have contributed to the enhanced profile and reputation of an organisation of comparable scale or profile. You will be visionary in approach and conceptual in your thinking, while also having an appreciation of the complexity of operations and scrutiny within which this role operates. This will require you to manage any organisation, political and city reputation issues, including media relations, in addition to ensuring effective internal communications which will enhance staff engagement.
