Salary: GBP 48,170 to GBP56,700, depending on skills and experience

The Bar Council represents the nearly 16,000 barristers in England and Wales. It promotes the Bar's high quality specialist advocacy and advisory services; fair access to justice for all; the highest standards of ethics, equality and diversity across the profession; and the development of business opportunities for barristers at home and abroad. The Bar Council is the governing body and the Approved Regulator for the Bar of England and Wales. It discharges its regulatory functions through the independent Bar Standards Board.

The Head of Financial and Members Services will provide overall leadership for the day to day management of the Member Services Team and the escrow services provided by BARCO to the Bar of England and Wales and the barrister led Alternative Business Structures that are regulated by either the Bar Standards Board or Solicitors Regulation Authority. They will also lead and develop the ongoing BARCO business and act as ambassador for both BARCO and other Bar Council business activities.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader with experience of managing professional clients' accounts, preferably in a law firm or a professional services environment. They will also have experience in preparing and reconciling management accounts and reporting exceptions.
