Care Call Officer (2) (Temporary) Various Locations GBP15,636 - GBP16,311 The Council's Customer Services department works in partnership with Social Work Services to deliver the telecare service, which provides a high quality, direct service to the public providing advice, assistance and support in a range of telecare equipment. The telecare service provides a home safety and personal security system that enables people to live independently within their own home. Due to recent developments in how we deliver this service, we now need to increase our team and are therefore looking for temporary Care Call Officers. The main responsibilities will be to install, maintain and support telecare equipment within customers own homes. You will also be required to instruct customers on the use of technology and provide continued support and re-assurance. You will deliver excellent customer service for each contact, and the Council will be providing suitable systems, processes and training to support you in this role. As someone who enjoys being a positive contributor to the team, you will work flexibly with your colleagues to ensure the customer is always the main priority. You will need to demonstrate a positive attitude, a calm approach and real drive and determination to offer the very best in customer excellence. You will need highly developed communication skills, as both spoken and written skills are crucial in this role. You'll need good listening and questioning skills along with the ability to explain information clearly and above all courteously. Essential requirements for this role are standard grades or equivalent in English, Maths and previous experience in a customer focused service. While experience of working in an electrical environment is desirable, full training will be provided. We are looking for two Care Call Officers who will support our existing Telehealthcare Assessor Technicans. Locations can be flexible, however a willingness to travel is crucial to the role. One of the Care Call Officers will provide support to Nithsdale and Annandale & Eskdale, with the other supporting Stewartry and Wigtown. These are temporary posts for a period of up to 2 years. This post may be suitable for attachment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post. A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post.
