An opportunity has arisen for an experienced practitioner to develop and build on existing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) across the East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (ELHSCP) and scope requirements to fully embed TEC within all areas of practice.The post is based within Adult Wellbeing and you must be registered with either the appropriate Health Professions Council or SSSC. You will be expected to work flexibly as part of a team and you will primarily be based within the Telecare Service.Responsibilities will include:- Strengthening and supporting strategic and operational partnerships within ELHSCP and other stakeholders.- Leading and contributing to audit mapping of TEC provision including gap analysis and future developments in TEC as applicable to health and social care.- Expanding and integrating the effective use of TEC as a sustainable and cost effective component of Health, Housing and Social Care.- Considering innovative use of current and future technology to deliver new models of care and redesign appropriate pathways.- Increasing stakeholder engagement and understanding on the use of TEC, particularly to personalise care and support and improve outcomes for individuals.- You will have experience of strategic development, project planning and implementation of new initiatives and experience of applying TEC systems in various health, social care and community settings.East Lothian Council is committed to continuously developing innovative ways to provide effective and efficient services to improve outcomes for those service users affected by disability or illness. Job Requirements
Relevant QualificationsDip/BSc/MSc or equivalent in Health or Social Care and able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience. Experience of strategic development, project planning of new initiatives. Knowledge and experience of applying TEC systems in various community and health and social care settings.The relevant professional registration is an essential requirement of this role e.g. HCPC, SSSC, NMC.Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle (*please refer to Job Outline/Person Specification).PVG MembershipThis post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
