Argyll and Bute Council require a Locality Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
This is a truly exceptional opportunity for a suitably qualified social work or health professional. The post is based in the beautiful coastal town of Oban and covers North Argyll and a number of Atlantic islands including Mull and Iona, Coll and Tiree. The post holder will be responsible for all local social work and child health services including maternity services. This is a very challenging role which requires the highest level of leadership and management. In return you will have the opportunity to develop a "whole system" approach to improving outcomes for our children, young people and their families.

This post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with children and adults.
The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013, as amended, applies to this post.
This post requires registration with the SSSC or Nursing Registration.
The post-holder will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
You will be required to participate in standby or other out of hour's service arrangements, as appropriate.
