Tottenham Charter Development Manager
Temporary contract for up to 2 years
About the role
Tottenham is the next chapter of London's regeneration story. It is one stop away from Stratford City, 12 minutes by Tube to central London, and located in the heart of the Upper Lee Valley. Already home to over 120,000 passionate and proud residents - many young, creative and entrepreneurial - Tottenham is seeing the benefit of a GBP1bn+ public and private investment programme that is already transforming the area.
A strong partnership between Haringey Council, the Mayor of London, Transport for London and the private sector is committed to the delivery of at least 10,000 new homes and more than 5,000 new jobs by 2025. The Tottenham Regeneration Programme is working to deliver the local communities' aspirations for the area, captured in the Tottenham Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) and accompanying Delivery Plan.
This post is critical to the delivery of our 'People' priority (improved access to jobs and business opportunities, world class education and training, and a strong and healthy community) as we work with residents to make sure that they benefit from the opportunities of living in the regeneration area and the ambition for Tottenham.
The role will lead the ongoing development of the Tottenham Charter, managing senior level relationships, increasing the scope, ambition and impact of the Tottenham Charter and securing a pipeline of pledges to support socio economic priorities.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a willingness to continue to develop their skills and experience. You will have experience of:
- Developing innovative funding products
- Meeting ambitious income or equivalent targets
- Researching and identifying potential supporters and securing their support for campaigns
- Establishing and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships and networking to support fundraising campaigns
You will have the confidence and proven ability to drive forward a complex project and will be regularly liaising with senior managers, elected members and a wide range of stakeholders.
