Head of Department – Corporate and Customer Services
The Council is seeking a strong leader for this Head of Department post which includes the statutory role of Monitoring Officer. It will be an exciting opportunity for someone who has exceptional skills in leading or managing a diverse range of support services.
This is a key role providing the strategic and operational leadership and development of our support services within the Council. The Council is undergoing a significant change programme to achieve new models of service delivery whilst achieving key financial and performance targets.
You will need to demonstrate that you have a strong professional background, with senior management experience. It will be desirable to have proven experience within a legal environment and/or a complex support service function. You will also have the right skills and behaviours to lead a highly motivated team of professionals within a rigorous financial context.
You will have a proven track record of managing change, delivering improvements and developing innovative solutions, whilst managing significant budgets across a diverse range of services. You will also be committed to the development and continuous improvement of your wider team.
