Hackney Council is looking for an analytic thinker to help us improve our services. As part of our Streetscene team which manages the borough's Highway, Traffic and Sustainable Transport and Policy areas you will make sure data collected about our environment makes a difference to people who live, work or visit here and ensure that the Service meets its objectives.

As the Senior Technical Support Officer in Streetscene you will manage a team of 4-6 technical support officer, providing support to the Head of Service and teams within the service.

You will strive to innovate putting in place projects to improve performance. This will include everything from financial and correspondence monitoring and making sure we meet our targets. Your work will be an important part of supporting a Service making Hackney cleaner, safer and greener.

You need to be organised and able to put in place structures that help shape the service. You will deal with a lot of administrative tasks including purchasing, asset data, logging highway defects and managing learning and development across the department. We want someone who is able to manage a team and is willing to learn the technical side to our service.
