Lawyers in Local Government (LLG) is a national membership organisation open to the legal community who work in Local Government. LLG's primary purpose is to represent, promote and support the interests of its members.

LLG is a company managed by an elected Board of Directors and operates a wholly owned subsidiary company, LLG Enterprises Limited. LLG Legal Training (the trading name of that company) provides a programme of high quality training events aimed at the local government legal practitioner.

LLG's success to date has been due to the dedication of volunteers - people who commit time to leading and running the organisation supported by a small team of staff.

The Role.

Earlier this year the Board commissioned the Centre for Public Scrutiny (CfPS) to undertake a review of the effectiveness of its governance arrangements.

The organisation is now seeking the support of an Interim Chief Operating Officer to kick-start the review recommendations.

This is a key leadership role; you will be working closely with the Board of Directors and play a crucial role in strategy setting. You will also be responsible for the management and delivery of LLG's key aims.

The role involves a working pattern of 2/3 days per week with flexible working arrangements including a mixture of home and/or office based offered. The head office is based at Horsham, West Sussex.

The role will be for 6 months and offers a competitive annual salary.

If this sounds like the right challenge for you and you can demonstrate excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics we would like to meet you.
