Grade 14 plus Enhancements

37 hours per week

Your role

We are looking for a dynamic individual, to lead the strategic development and operational delivery of our resources for children, young people and families who are receiving a specialist and targeted service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Leaving Care, Fostering and Targeted Services.

The role will also support us to deliver on our ambition to adopt and adapt a flexible edge of care and residential service based on our collaboration with North Yorkshire's No Wrong Door.

As a leader of the Deal for Children and Young People, you will embody the Be Wigan behaviours to ensure the highest quality of Social Work practice is delivered across the service.

You will operate in an environment of transformational change and innovation, be able to manage change in a time of financial constraints and provide clear and effective leadership to enable management to deliver their objectives

About You

A fully qualified social work profession who is passionate about improving outcomes and with a track record of transforming services for children, young people and their families, you've got what it takes to drive innovation into practice, by developing constructive partnerships with other agencies and key stakeholders.

You thrive in delivering high performing services, so you'll relish every opportunity to influence, challenge and inspire your teams to deliver our strategic objective to be an outstanding service for the children, young people and families in Wigan.
