Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Renfrewshire Community Safety Partnership for a highly motivated individual to become a Community Safety Officer. You will be required to carry out regular patrols throughout the area of the Council enforcing relevant environmental and decriminalised parking legislation, issuing fixed penalty notices; actively address community safety, public protection and antisocial behaviour issues including youth disorder; develop appropriate links with the community, local businesses, schools and relevant agencies in respect of environmental and community safety issues. You will also be required to carry out related educational and promotional activities to ensure a safer and greener Renfrewshire and improving the environmental quality of life and the feeling of well-being across the Council area.

You must have effective communication, reporting and interpersonal skills; the ability to use your own initiative; be able to work under pressure; contribute toward the delivery of targets and objectives set out for the service; contribute towards a continual improvement within the service; have experience of dealing with the general public and business community and experience of liaising with a wide range of internal/external agencies.

Possession of a current driving licence is essential.

The hours for this post are 35 per week, on a flexible working pattern.
