Intervention Officer (Part Time - Temporary)
Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley
You will undertake a wide range of duties including: assisting in the development of effective arrears strategies; providing various reports/information; providing advice and assistance to tenants with rent arrears and establishing and agreeing installment arrangements to repay rent debt; liaise with internal and external agencies; undertake arrears interviews and determine and instigate recovery action in accordance with the Council's policies and procedures.
It is essential that you have knowledge of housing benefit and housing regulations/legislation in Scotland and are able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. It is also essential that you are able to organise your own workload, work to deadlines and use your own initiative.
You must have previous experience of liaising with customers in a variety of interview settings and should posses experience in letter writing and using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Work Pattern is:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4.00pm - 8.00pm
Saturday9.00am - 1.00pm
Post hours are 16 per week and the annual salary for working this is GBP10,219 - GBP11,179 per annum
