We are poised to deliver an ambitious programme of change across our health and social services. We’ve undertaken a comprehensive review, which involved assessing the challenges we face both now and in the future. We consulted extensively to define the best way forward. Now we’re ready to put our findings into action.
Jersey has many strengths upon which to build. Our Health and Social Services are already integrated. We have a vibrant third sector, a range of good quality services, and strong relationships with our partners. The challenge now is to ensure the safety, sustainability and affordability of our services into the future. We aim to create a system that other small health and social care communities will want to emulate. And commissioning is going to be crucial to our success.
You will lead the commissioning and development of services for vulnerable adults including mental health, community services and social care. We will also look to you to drive the development and performance of effective, integrated and sustainable services, including those delivered in partnership with the Third Sector. This will involve developing strong relationships, robust service models and sound delivery plans.
This key role requires substantial and appropriate commissioning experience, supported by specialist knowledge of contractual, performance measurement and change management. The presence and negotiation skills needed to achieve outstanding results are also essential. If you could shape our future, we would like to hear from you.
