Our client a local authority is looking for an Interim Head of Commissioning, Specialist Interventions and Quality Assurance for a period of three to 6 months.
Main Responsibilities
- To lead the strategic and operational commissioning, development and delivery of social care and services for children with high and complex needs for the borough.
- To maintain an overview of strategic and operational commissioning needs and developments in the borough; and to ensure the implementation of theborough’s key priorities as expressed in its mandate, liaising with elected members, senior Council representatives and other borough specific stakeholders as appropriate.
- To line manage staff within the Specialist Intervention and Quality Assurance team, implementing appropriate performance management arrangements to support organizational change, and promoting effective working relationships within a matrix management system.
- Support the preparation and implementation of commissioning, procurement and business plans; and contribute, as appropriate, to other relevant strategic policies and plans ensuring effective commissioning systems are in place to deliver excellent outcomes for all children and young people.
