South Cambridgeshire is a rural district of 102 parishes and consistently ranks highly in surveys of the best places to live in the UK. Scoring highly on quality of life, the district encircles the city of Cambridge and offers 350 square miles of countryside from rolling chalk hills in the south to flat, fertile fenland vistas. With 57 elected members representing a current population of around 140,000, South Cambridgeshire District Council is working in partnership to deliver one of the most ambitious growth programmes in the country, including the new town of Northstowe.
